General Building Tour
Preserve, Promote and Present
The General Building Tour is a tour of the 1st and 2nd floors of the Love’s Jazz and Arts Center. Students will get a brief overview of all the museum’s exhibits and receive an appreciation for the achievements of Preston Love and African American Artists that had a great impact on American Music – Jazz and North Omaha Jazz.
Grade level: Grade 3 thru 12
Maximum group size: 100 students

Come Blow Your Horn! / Let The Rhythm Move You!
This tour and program focuses on the musical talents of North Omaha’s very own Preston Love and Luigi Waites. Students will see, hear, and touch different musical instruments and learn about the jazz orchestra and big bands and get a chance to be musicians!

The Artist in YOU!
This tour and program introduces students to various African American Artists and the mediums used to produce great works. Artist will vary per quarter of the year. Students will learn about the artist(s), their life and art and then participate in a program using the featured artist’s medium.

WeBop at the LJAC!
This program introduces pre-school through first grade to the wonderful world of Jazz! Some of the fun activities will include:
- Swing favorite nursery songs
- Stomp the blues away
- Solo like Satchmo
- Scat silly sounds
- Jam with a live jazz quartet
- Have a blast swingin’ with your friends and family!
